Chin & Jaw

Chin Modification (Genioplasty) is a procedure by which the shape of the chin is modified. It may be increased in size and lengthened using the bone of the chin or an implant. Or, it may be reduced in size and shortened by altering the bone structure of the lower jaw.

Adjustment of the whole jaw is achieved by dividing the appropriate segment of the lower jaw and moving it either forwards or backwards. It is then held in its new position using permanent plates and screws.

The mid face can also be moved forwards, backwards, up, down, shortened, lengthened and rotated depending on your individual facial skeleton and required goal.
